Privacy Policy

1. What we process

From you, as account holder: your email address, for signing in and order confirmations.

From your profile: the name, role, company, photo, phone number, email address and links you enter yourself. This data exists to be shared — that is what a business card is for — but you decide field by field whether it is.

From your order: your name and delivery address (for the shipping label), plus the engraving details and artwork you supply. We do not process payment details ourselves; those go directly to Stripe. We never see your card number.

2. You decide what is public

Every field is off by default. A new profile shows only your name. A field appears on the public page only once you deliberately switch it on.

This is not a display setting. A field that is off is never sent to the visitor's browser — it stays in our database. It cannot be recovered from the developer console.

3. What we deliberately do not record

When someone taps "Save contact", we record only the time of that tap against the card. No IP address, no location, no device data, no identity. We can tell you that your card was used, and never by whom.

We do not record profile page views at all.

4. Why we use your data

To operate your account and profile pages, to produce and ship your order, to keep you informed about its status, and to prevent abuse (for example automated harvesting of profile pages, via rate limiting). We do not use your data for marketing and send no advertising.

The legal basis is performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and for abuse prevention our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

5. Who we share with

Only the parties we need to make Statuur Nº85 work:

• Supabase — database, accounts and file storage (EU region)
• Stripe — payments and invoicing
• PostNL — shipping your order
• Resend — transactional email (order confirmation, status updates)
• Vercel — website hosting

We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Order records are additionally kept for as long as Dutch tax law requires. If you delete your account, we remove your profiles and uploads and your cards stop resolving. Profiles attached to an order are retained in stripped form — no name, photo or contact details — because the order itself must be kept.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. For your profiles you can do most of this directly in your account; for anything else, email info@statuur85.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your own country's equivalent.

8. Cookies

We set no advertising or tracking cookies and use no analytics. The site uses only functional browser storage: to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. No cookie banner is required, because this is strictly necessary storage.

9. Security

Traffic to the site runs over TLS. Data access is restricted at database level to your own account, and the files that carry your identity — your uploads and the generated engraving files — are held in private storage that is not publicly reachable.
